Founded by fashion designer Matas Petkevičius, m.a.t.a.s concept is rooted in a commitment to sustainable design, conscious production, and the principles of slow fashion. The brand challenges the culture of excess by creating thoughtfully designed pieces made to be worn, valued, and kept for years. With a focus on responsible materials, considered craftsmanship, and timeless design, Matas Concept proposes a more mindful relationship between fashion, people, and the environment.

Every silhouette begins with a hand-drawn sketch, and every hide is individually inspected. m.a.t.a.s concept brings together traditional hand-stitching techniques and contemporary functional design to create objects made to accompany their owners for years - and, ultimately, to be passed from one generation to the next.

The designs explore abstract forms that subtly reference numerical shapes without ever becoming literal. Each ring is simply named “0”, “1”, “2”… creating a quiet visual language that leaves room for personal interpretation rather than imposing a fixed meaning.

No two pieces are ever exactly alike. For each order, the leather is selected at random, making every piece an element of surprise. This absence of choice is intentional: by giving up control over the final material, the wearer becomes part of the process of discovery. What arrives is not simply chosen - it is encountered.
